The Dark Knight Rises

Friday night I met up with several of my amazing friends and caught the evening showing of The Dark Knight Rises! Now, as a huge fan of the Christopher Nolan Trilogy, I may be a bit biased in my review! I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this movie! It was full of action, the kind of action that had me on the edge of my seat at times and ready to punch the screen during others! The plot was masterfully created, I love a slow build to a thrilling climax in a film, sometimes the build can be too slow and boring at times, but not this one! There wasn’t a single moment of this movie that I did not enjoy…It’s almost difficult to write about it because I don’t want to give it away! All I can do is give major props to Christopher Nolan for finishing this trilogy strong! I am always so impressed with Nolan’s films and this is just one more film to add my growing list. The Dark Knight rises was cinematography at its finest, full of stunning visuals, locales, and filming techniques. It’s so easy to lose yourself in this film and have your own emotions tied up in the plot.

One aspect of this film that I just have to mention is how impressed I was with Anne Hathaway’s performance. Don’t get me wrong, I love Anne, I think she’s a fabulous actress, but when I heard she was cast as Catwoman I was bit skeptical. Girlfriend proved me wrong, she did an absolutely amazing job in this role and was definitely one of my favorite parts of the film.

Needless to say, if you haven’t already checked out The Dark Knight Rises, I must ask, what in the heck are you waiting for???

If you’ve seen, what are your thoughts on it?

With Love,

Brittni Pope
